Not the Chicken Pox!!
Today we are trying to catch up on all of Jacob's school work. let me tell you how fun that is (NOT!!) They have been building Legos for about 4 days due to the fact we thought they were so highly contagious and all we made them stay downstairs. Noah has made a really cool movie and I will try to see how to put it on the blog.
My Mom is here and she has been great help. The Boys school had a program last Thursday night....I had to go but the boys did not get to perform. Tomorrow night is a PTA Banquet that she is going to go with me to. Tuesday Night is the Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet. She is getting a full dose of our life.
That should catch you up on our life to date......Dr.Adam don't you like my medical descriptions??

Well, the chicken pox are back or they never really went away....Jacob is on wave 2 of the pox..so another week off school. The picture above is what happens when Obi Won meets the Dark Side in near the window. Just another reason why Mom says Light Sabers outside only!!
It is a busy week here. Hope all of you are having a great week.

We are expecting rain and colder weather again tonight. Both boys were home from school today. Noah with a "headache"... i guess it was o.k. since his class had a Sub today. The chicken pox is ending up being a "lite" case. Most have cleared up so I am hopeful that He can be back in class on Thursday.
Tonight.....I am headed to Barnes and Noble for a quiet hour and a Venti Black and White Hot Coco from Starbucks.

Books
Reading is a personal thing and my choice of books may not appeal to many but I will share them anyway. A book can be special to you because of the things that were happening around you when you read it, Do you remember reading a book that you thought was great just becasue you were relaxed and could enjoy it? Are there books you read that can change your life....your thinking. There are books on my shelf, that Noah and I read together. He is in a Book Club at school so I try to keep up and read what they are reading as well as my own book club choices. Jacob has venteured into chapter books this year and devours them quickly.
Both Boys had their reading test this past week ( o.k. a Blog is where you can brag isn't it??) Jacob (turned 7 last week, in the 2nd Grade --skipped K) is at first semester 4th grade level. Noah is a second semester 10th Grade level.
Share your books with us.
Noah is participating in Leadership Training for Christ (LTC) and they are learning 1st Samuel for the Bible Quiz. What exciting stories to read with young Boys who are all about battles.
Happy Reading!!

Cub Scout Pinewood Derby!!! For the last FIVE years we, The Delashaw Family have been the #1 cars. This year we gladly gave that title to another family. We take pride in our car making. You can't see it to well in the pictures and I'll try to post a closer picture. Noah's car is black and gold with the MIZZOU Tiger across the top. and Jacob's car is a Red Hot Rod with a mean looking wasp on it. There were 27 different cars and Mark help about 18 of the boys cut theirs out. Scouts is winding down for us. Noah will crossover to Boy Scouts later this month.. Having a MIZZOU car in Razorback country was the winning moment!!
Weather --- We are still grounded. The weather last night was horrible and we were in the middle of it all. It blew hard enough at our house to blow the broom off the porch. We were expecting so much more...it was crazy to have all the destruction just miles from us and we basically had nothing.
We have a Sock Hop this Friday so I'll be busy getting that ready. This is to support the 5th Grade Space Camp Trip. I'll post fun pics on Saturday. Mark and Noah are going to Space Camp this year. (I'll only go if one of the women chaperones drops out). They go Alabama to a NASA Camp.
Have a great rest of the day!

This was Jacob's B-day surprise. we told him and Samuel to dress up and go outside...outside a "REAL LIFE CLONE TROPPER and the TUSKIN RAIDER" was waiting for them. They battled for awhile and all the neighbors came out it was fun to say the least. For a 7 year old who is a HUGE Star Wars Fan this was a perfect afternoon.
