Delashaw update.....boring!!

Not much to update on..... this past week-end we worked around the house, ran errands nothing very exciting. Our X-Box 360 has bit the dust..we think. Noah has been on the phone with Microsoft and other web sites. who knows after all his phone calls he just might land a job with one of them. Yes, we made Noah do all the calling and research.

Jacob went to a friends on Sat. and Noah went with a friend on Sun. Harrison has two new toys and a new leash. See I already told you nothing very excting at our house this week-end.

Oh, MIZZOU WON BIG this week-end.

Our local news lost a really neat Anchor. Anne Pressley. She was beaten in her home and then passed away on Sat. We live in what a call a small place...but you so see the News Anchors all over town and you feel as if you really know them at least enough to say HI and when you see them in Target enough you do know them as neighbors..

Anyway, heres to a better week. We have Trunk or Treat on Wed. and Halloween Party on Friday.

Boys, THE JAR and camping

AHHHHH!! The Day that Mark has been waiting for....11 long summers of waiting finally arrived this year!!!

THE JAR. What is it you ask? This is my Thankful Jar. Thankful for all the laundry I get to do...thankful for the pockets of very healthy boys I get to go through. As I find these treasures I put them in the jar in the laundry room. Today I dumped it out to see what I had.......

Lizards, money, guns made from sticks, rubberbands, targets, scout beads, and more. All signs that I have boys. My boys love to fill their pockets with trinkets and treasures and one day when they are grown I will still have my Thankful Jar.

Camping...we are preparing for camping trip #5 and then three more in November. Camping pics are also on my facebook.

random wierdness and thoughts

Saturday 10/11/08


1. Mark and Noah are camping this week-end.

2. We have a new Wal-Mart and everytime and I do mean everytime we go we get the front parking spot.

3. Noah's best bud is Ethan L.

4. Jacob's best bud is Ethan D.

5. I will be so glad when it is Nov.5th

6. Ole Roy puppy treats....not so good with digestion...very smelly yuck!!!

7. I am spending sat. nite watching a weeks worth of Young and Restless (while doing laundry)

8. Jacob and Ethan are typical 8 year old boys and are about to get another warning about running in the house.

9. It is Book Fair week at Jacob's school I love this week!!

10. Noah's school will have Book Fair in two weeks......I love it.

12. Why is it when boys are running and jumping upstairs and you are down it sounds like the whole house is falling? I actually HATE this noise anywhere!!!!!!!!!

well, there you have it for tonight. I think I am about to enjoy the next three hours watching sponge bob and mario brothers instead of my Y&R --- anything to get them to settle down up stairs.

Yes, Jacob and I skipped school today. (Noah did not want to go but ended up staying home with a bit of a stomach bug). The LR Zoo is building a Penguin Exhibit and we have been donating to help. Our Kids at school had a penny war (2 years ago) to raise enough money to get our school name on a brick. We (the Delashaws) got our invite to attend the ground breaking ceremony so, Jacob and I decided to go. It was this morning. They had the ceremony and then a brunch. It was a pretty neat time. There were not very many people there so it was like having the zoo to yourself. Jacob, as you can see from the pictures got some one on one time with a couple of the zoo keepers and a few animals. Jackie the penguin was there and he loves to strut among the people. The Gov's wife was there--- Jacob did not really know who she was but shook her hand anyway. I had told him he had to really polite and smile since all the t.v. crews were there. So if you are in our area watch for us on the news tonight.
